Former ISIS sex slaves form all-female military force to free other victims

Former sex slaves who were abducted by ISIS fighters hope to strike back - and free other women still in the clutches of the extremists.

An all-female force of Yazidi fighters, including former ISIS sex slaves, is planning an assault on the extremist stronghold of Mosul.

The unit of 2,000 fighters is said to include hundreds of former sex slaves who have escaped captivity after Daesh captured the Kurdish city of Sinjar, according to Fox News.

One of their goals is to free other Yazidi women who are still being held in Daesh’s stronghold Mosul as sex slaves.

Capt. Khatoon Khider said, "Whenever a war wages, our women end up as the victims.

"Our elite force is a model for other women in the region. We want everyone to take up weapons and know how to protect themselves from the evil.

"We have a lot of our women in Mosul being held as slaves. Their families are waiting for them. We are waiting for them. The liberation might help bring them home."

Khider describes the chaos after the fall of Sinjar – when Amnesty International witness accounts describe Daesh fighters abducting women to use as sex slaves.

Khider said, "Women were throwing their children from the mountains and then jumping themselves because it was a faster way to die.

"Our hands were all tied. We couldn’t do anything about it."
