Man shatters woman's jaw with single punch in car park row
Sickening video has emerged of a man punching a woman with multiple sclerosis in the face outside her business in England, leaving her with a shattered jaw.
49-year-old Heather Smith received a punch to the face so hard that it left her jaw broken in four places.
The 5ft 1in tall Essex business owner was at work when the men parked in front of her cleaning supplies company to run into a nearby store.
Ms Smith’s business partner Keith Edwards said he approached the men to inform them that they could not park in the driveway.
“I told them they couldn't park there, but they weren't having any of it,” Mr Edwards told The Mirror.
"They were immediately confrontational and abusive."
CCTV footage of the incident shows Ms Smith following the driver to his door, where she was hit with the jaw-breaking blow.
"The pain was unbelievable but I couldn't get up because my legs were shaking," Ms Smith said.
"I was so afraid he was going to come back.
"Now I'm afraid he'll do it again.
"If he can do that to me, he could do much worse."
Ms Smith underwent surgery to put a metal plate and pins into her jaw, but could face complications in the future if her fractures don’t heal properly.
She said she has only left the house four times since the incident occurred on March 16.
