'Haven’t missed them at all': Christchurch residents shaken by magnitude 3.8 quake
Hundreds have reported feeling a second earthquake which hit the Canterbury region this evening.
The moderate magnitude 3.7 earthquake hit 10km west of Christchurch at 7.53pm.
More than 1780 reported feeling the quake which struck at a depth of 6km.
It comes after a magnitude 3.8 earthquake hit the same area at 3pm today.
The earthquake's epicentre was 8km below the surface and struck just 10km west of the city.
Within 10 minutes of the shaking, more than 730 people reported feeling the earth move.
Many took to social media to comment on what they say was the first earthquake Christchurch has felt in a while.
