Alba Baptista Shares Photos with Chris Evans' Rescue Dog Dodger After Actor Confirms Couple's Wedding News
The actress appears to be bonding nicely with Evans' pup, a boxer mix he rescued in 2017
Alba Baptista's recent marriage to Chris Evans came with a special bonus: his dog Dodger.
From the looks of the actress' latest Instagram post from Sunday, she and the Pain Hustlers star's trusty canine companion are already the best of friends.
Baptista, 26, included a photo of the boxer mix surrounded by colorful autumn leaves, as well as a snapshot of herself lounging on a couch with Dodger beside her.
Baptista captioned the post — which also featured a selfie and a photo of two lit jack-o-lanterns — with a fall leaves emoji in honor of the season.
Evans, 42, previously shared that he and the Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris star celebrated two weddings — one in Baptista's home country of Portugal and the other in a private home in Cape Cod, Mass. in September. While speaking at New York Comic Con 2023 earlier this month, he described married life as "really, really great" — especially now that the arduous task of wedding planning is behind them.
“It’s a lot planning a wedding. For those of you who are married you know it takes a lot out of you,” he told the audience at the event. “But now that we're through that, we've just been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn, my favorite season. Now we're just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting.”

The Gray Man star also shared some cute details about Dodger — who he adopted from a rescue in 2017 — during his Comic Con appearance. When asked if the dog has an inner voice, Evans immediately landed on Marty McFly, played by a young Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future.
“That’s the voice I hear in my mind,” he said. “It’s just so sweet. It’s coming out of those big eyes.”
Evans also confirmed that Dodger will not be dressing up for Halloween this year after jokingly recounting the time when he tried to put booties on the now nearly 9-year-old dog for a winter hike.
“You could be holding a raw sirloin steak, five feet, and he will not move,” he recalled of Dodger's dismay over the paw accessories. “Whether it’s booties or a costume, I’ve forced sweaters and things on him and he just freezes. He hates it.”

Last year, Evans told PEOPLE he feels "lucky" to have Dodger in his life.
"Because you don't know what you're going to get," he said of adopting a pet. "Anyone who is a dog owner knows it's a bit of a gamble. I hit the lottery."
The actor frequently posts photos of his adventures with Dodger on social media.
"The amount of ones I post is dwarfed by the amount of ones I have on my phone," Evans jokingly revealed of his extensive photo library. "I post them, so I can delete them because I have so many, and I need to save room on the old camera roll."
The dynamic duo even has a business together. In early 2022, they teamed up to launch a pet food company called Jinx, and starred in a series of ads for the products together. Ahead of the launch, Evans opened up to PEOPLE about his special bond with Dodger, noting that the animal is "so loving" and "so pure."
"He's so honest. He's so genuine. He has no idea who I am other than I'm just his man, that's it," he explained. "And that's just so refreshing. There's just something about him that feels like a brand new soul, and it just makes me smile every time I see him."
