Aldi budget cleaning buy delivers 'gobsmacking results'

A mum has shared the ‘gobsmacking results’ she achieved after using a budget cleaning buy from Aldi to lift stubborn, baked-on grime from a pair of oven trays.

After becoming frustrated with traditional kitchen cleaning products, the woman tried her luck by soaking the trays in some Di San Oxy Laundry Soaker and In Wash Booster which, as the name suggests, is typically used in the laundry.

‘Mind blown’

The satisfied shopper was so impressed with the effectiveness of the $3.49 item that she took to Facebook to share her cleaning win.

“Who’s ready to be mind blown?” she wrote in the post.

“I have two baking trays that refuse to be clean enough. No matter how long I soak them, or how hard I scrub them, they just seem to accumulate grime and it really bugged me.”

She then went on to describe the ‘experiment’ she conducted that delivered the “absolutely gobsmacking results” seen in the before and after photos she uploaded.

“This is after soaking two pans in 1.5 capfulls Di San Oxy and hot water for approximately two hours, then giving a light scrub. Amazing,” she wrote.

The mum added that she’d returned the trays to the tub to “loosen up those stubborn bits in the corners” overnight.

“Imagine what it would do for oven racks!!” she wondered.

Crowd favourite

Fellow Facebook users were thrilled with the tip, with one piping up to share their success story:

“Thank you soooo much for your idea of using this Di San on oven trays,” they wrote.

“My trays are 40 plus years old and black as the ace of spades. I tried everything then I tried this and it has lifted 98 per cent,” they added.

Others weighed in to share how they use Di San Laundry Soaker outside of the laundry.

“I clean ovens with this, it’s fantastic,” one wrote.

“And wait till you see how well it cleans the metal filters in your kitchen exhaust fan!” another added.
