From budget cleaning products with a cult-following to serious savings on Special Buys, Aldi shoppers certainly know a good deal when they see one.

And the latest item flying off shelves is no different. The German retailer is sending customers into a spin with their popular $4.99 bottle of Moscato Rose, with many saying it rivals more expensive brands.

“I paid $4.99 for a bottle of Moscato rose from Aldi and it’s better than the $30 Moscato I buy from BWS,” one impressed shopper wrote on an Aldi fan’s Facebook page.

Unsurprisingly, dozens agreed with her saying the wine selection at Aldi offered great value for money.

“Yep sure is....we refer to Friday as Aldi Friday ...as some of my work colleagues also love the Aldi Moscato,” one person agreed.

“I love the pink one, it’s the best,” added another, while a third shared: “Been buying this one for years. It’s SO good!”

The budget bottle of sparkling Moscato is from award-winning winery South Point Estate, which recently took out a number of top prizes for their wine selection.

Aldi’s fan-favourites

Apart from the popular pink Moscato, others shared their favourite drop sold at Aldi.

“The Aldi knockoff for baileys is better than baileys in my opinion,” one person shared.

Another top pick amongst shoppers is the Claire Creek Sparkling Moscato Rosa which retails for the bargain price of $3.99.

South Point Estate wine selections seem to be the top pick of Aldi shoppers with a number of their bottles taking out top prizes at international wine competitions.

Back in September, the $4.99 bottle of South Point Estate Sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir was awarded Double Gold at the Melbourne International Wine Competition.

Other major awards went to the store’s $6.99 bottles of Bordeaux Les Maurins Sauvignon Blanc 2020 and Villa Elsa Pinot Grigio 2020 which also retails for $6.99.

"We are thrilled that our award-winning wines have been recognised yet again among the highest quality drops available in Australia,” Wine Buying Director at Aldi Australia Jason Bowyer said in a statement at the time.

“Produced locally and abroad by our network of loyal partners, these awards are a testament to their hard work and dedication."
