Shoppers at The Reject Shop have been left stunned after discovering a massive fail in a roll of Christmas wrapping paper sold by the popular discount store.
One customer, who appears to have mistaken The Reject Shop for Aldi, took to Facebook on Sunday to share a snap of the offending product, which features a festive holly wreath encircling the classic holiday phrase ‘Merry Christmas’.
Or does it?
“Did anyone else pick up some wrapping paper from Aldi? Check the spelling,” they wrote.
Look a bit closer and you’ll see that ‘Christmas’ is actually spelled ‘Chirstmas’. Oops!
Fellow Facebook users jumped into the comment section to share their thoughts on the retailer’s gaffe.
“I wonder how many hands did it pass through and no one noticed,” one asked.
“That’s why it’s cheap,” pointed out another.
Others weren’t fussed with the spelling blunder.
“It will get ripped off without even noticing anyway...” wrote one.
“Just use it for the little ones who can't read yet,” suggested another.
Others still thought it was a cracking Christmas practical joke waiting to happen.
“I would buy it just for the spelling!” said one.
“Gonna buy it anyway, see if anyone notices!” added another.
“Omg I didn’t even take any notice and I’ve wrapped a whole heap up... I bought mine from The Reject Shop,” one remarked.
