Alesha Dixon asked Prince Philip for his jacket

Alesha Dixon once asked Prince Philip to lend her his jacket.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge has mingled with the royal family on more than one occasion in the past but she has admitted she'll never forget the time she asked the 97-year-old prince - who is married to Queen Elizabeth - to give up his coat after he commented on her lack of clothing while she was performing with her band Mis-Teeq.
Speaking to OK! magazine, the 39-year-old singer said: "I've met Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall a few times because I'm an ambassador for The Prince's Trust. I've also met Princes Harry and William on many occasions and they're always very charming. When I was in Mis-Teeq I performed at Buckingham Palace. Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip walked past and Philip and said: 'Aren't you cold, dear?' I said: 'Are you going to lend me your jacket?' He smiled and walked off!"
The royal family broke tradition two months ago when Prince Harry married American actress the Duchess of Sussex - who was known as Meghan Markle prior to the wedding - and Alesha thinks it's great because she's a "good role model" for society.
She explained: "She's a good role model - anyone who is passionate and fights for what they believe in sets a great example to the younger generation. She's a breath of fresh air."
However, although Meghan, 36, has strong views of certain topics, she's still having to follow royal protocol to some extent as she's reportedly been banned from wearing a tuxedo when she and Harry tour Australia and New Zealand later this year.
A source said recently: "Meghan is being told she needs to stop dressing like a Hollywood star and start dressing like a royal. Meghan wanted to wear a tuxedo-style suit but Harry said it wasn't traditional enough."
