Amanda Owen shares warning to fans after Our Farm Next Door comeback
The Our Yorkshire Farm stars returned to our screens on Our Farm Next Door on Channel 4
Amanda Owen has returned to TV with Our Farm Next Door but she had to warn her legion of loyal fans about a Facebook scam asking people for money.
There has been a buzz around the Channel 4 show, especially because the Yorkshire Shepherdess teams up with her estranged husband Clive Owen and their nine children to renovate a farmhouse after fame wrecked their 22-year marriage.
Our Yorkshire Farm fans were devastated when the couple chose to end the Channel 5 show in 2022 at the same time that the Owens split and didn't get their "happy ending".
With her surprise return to the limelight two years later, the mum-of-nine has discovered some people pretending to impersonate her and then asking fans for money for live stream events that don't exist.
The farmer said her official Facebook group's only purpose is to keep people updated about exciting upcoming news. Her Facebook group has the attention of 89,000 people, while on her Instagram account the TV star has 533,000 followers.
Amanda Owen's warning
The message on Amanda Owen's Facebook page was written on behalf of the Shepherdess by her agent Jo. It read: "Hi all, this is Jo, Amanda’s agent. Hope you’re all having a good weekend. It’s been brought to my attention this past few days that there are a number of FB pages springing up, which are passing themselves off as being in some way related to Amanda and/or the new series.

"This is just a quick note to confirm that this is the one and only official channel (verified with a blue tick) in relation to Amanda, along with the TV series, her books and any public speaking events we organise.
"If any FB pages make friends requests as if they were Amanda or anyone else in the family, please do not interact with them and please do not under any circumstances part with any of your hard earned money if requested to do so.
"We have had a problem in the past with pages pretending to offer live streaming events and asking people to buy tickets that don’t actually exist. Anything along those lines is bogus and the only place you will find legitimate posts is here.
"We will never ask you for money or make friends requests. This is purely a channel to let you all know when there’s some exciting news to share. Thanks for reading and please stay safe on the internet. Best wishes, Jo. x"
Our Farm Next Door
Her warning come ahead of Our Farm Next Door airing on our screens on Monday evening. The couple have put their hearts on the line while discussing their split and enduring an "incredibly hard year". In the latest episode, Amanda joked about weathering the marriage split storm together.
She told the cameras: "We’ve always joked about being able to weather any storm, and when I said that, I was kind of meaning meteorologically. But we have to weather any storm that there is going out there. There is obviously nothing that we can't get through, that's kind of our mantra.
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going. That's what they say isn't it? So that's what we are trying."
Recently on breakfast TV, Amanda opened up about "not getting the happy ending" after her split from Clive and discussed their friendship.
She said: "We've got a lot of room and a lot of distractions. First and foremost we're farming. It's yet another diversification, we have our fingers in so many pies that it's just unbelievable. There is enough work to go around times a zillion.
"It's tough trying to spin all the plates but that's why this programme is relatable, that's why we've been so popular with viewers. You don't always get the happy ending you want, but it's how you negotiate it."
The Owens — including their nine children Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy — first became household names on ITV's The Dales in 2011 and they have grown in popularity ever since.
