Amazon shoppers adore these comfy Ugg lookalikes, on sale for as little as $40
Sink your toes into the toasty satisfaction of shearling boots and slippers that won't bust your budget.
There's one pair of boots that seems to dethrone all the others when it gets chilly outside: the ubiquitous Ugg. These shearling superstars are so cozy and warm that they've developed a dedicated following, but the $180 price gives some potential buyers cold feet. Luckily, plenty of brands sell affordable boots that look just like Uggs. Amazon carries a slew of options made with genuine sheepskin, suede and wool that are backed by thousands of five-star reviews. Try them on for size while they're on sale, starting at just $40.
These mid-calf snow boots are dead-ringers for Uggs, but with some added detail. The back has a woven panel and two adjustable buckles, while the inside features a faux-fur lining so you'll always feel cozy. You'll also get durable EVA rubber outsoles with treads so you'll have more traction in slippery conditions.
"Really love these," one reviewer said. "I was looking for some new warm winter boots. I was going to get some Bearpaws, which I used to buy when they were the inexpensive version of Uggs, but now they’re almost as much! I looked around and found these. Same style, same quality, but for a small price tag!"
These Ugg Tasman lookalikes proved more than comfortable in a full comparison of the two slippers. While they look quite similar to the real thing, we had some issues with the fit, but if you have a smaller foot they're a great deal — especially now that they're on sale.
Shoppers agree. One wrote, "Super cute slipper and comfortable to walk around outside. Great price for great material slippers."
How about some ultra-warm mid-calf booties that won't break the bank? These are made with cow-suede leather, which is incredibly soft and warm but breathable. The soles are fitted with rubber and feature extra-strong treads so you won't slip in the snow.
One five-star reviewer said, "I took a risk and purchased two pairs, and I am so happy that I did. I was a little skeptical because of the price, but the quality of these boots is amazing [and] similar to Uggs. They fit true to size, but if you need to wear thick socks with them, then I suggest going a size up."
With an upper made of soft suede, plus a luxuriously cozy shearling lining, these boots are as close as you'll get to the most popular Ugg style for a much smaller chunk of change. They come in 21 colors, and prices vary, so click around to get the full scope of sale prices.
One happy reviewer said, "I bought these after a lot of research. I know people who love their Uggs and recommend them, but I thought the cost of Uggs was too much. I read reviews of different brands of boots, looking for warm boots that would be good for cold-weather football games (like Midwest in December and January). I have worn them while running errands and also to several football games when it has been cold. My feet stayed warm, and they were very comfortable when I was walking and sitting."
For best results, use a protective spray like this water-repellent treatment so they'll stand up to rain and snow.
There are no better Ugg slipper twinsies out there than these incredibly cozy shearling slip-ons. They're made in Australia and feature dyed sheep fur inside and out, as well as an EVA rubber sole that allows you to wear them outdoors. Need to run an errand? No problem — you can slip these on and get going.
"If you love Uggs but don't want to spend the money, then buy these. They are cute, comfy and high quality," one five-star reviewer gushed. "I've now worn these slippers for several weeks nearly every day, all day, and they are still every bit as soft and fluffy and still look brand new!"
