Anderson Cooper splits with boyfriend Ben Maisani

Anderson Cooper has split from his longtime boyfriend Ben Maisani.
The 50-year-old CNN host dated the French nightclub owner for nine years but has now revealed the couple went their separate ways "some time ago", though they are still "best friends" and will see one another regularly.
Anderson said in a statement: "Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago.
"We are still family to each other, and love each other very much. We remain the best of friends, and will continue to share much of our lives together."
Although the reason behind the split was not given, Anderson said last year that his former partner used to "get annoyed" with how much he travelled.
He said: "I'm definitely a workaholic. I'm off about one weekend a month.
"During the week, I'm on CNN, and also work for '60 Minutes' - most of the weekends are traveling for CNN or '60 Minutes'.
"I think he's annoyed that I travel so much but he also knows he much I like. He's kind of used to it.
"He's never asked me not to go somewhere. He's pretty understanding that the job requires travel, and he's cool with that."
Despite claiming the couple separated "some time ago", the Mail Online report that they are still living together in their Greenwich Village home - which Anderson bought in 2009 - and were photographed just two days ago on their way to the gym.
Although dating since 2009, it wasn't until 2015 that Anderson publicly announced his relationship with the French hunk.
Last year, Anderson was voted number two in Out Magazine's Power 50 List 2017 beating the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Frank Ocean, Ellen Page and Laverne Cox.
