Appeal after man assaulted in supermarket car park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside a supermarket.

Officers said the man in his 20s was assaulted by an "unknown male stranger" in the car park of Tesco in Hall Street, Alfreton, Derbyshire, at around 16:00 BST on Saturday.

Derbyshire Police said the man who was attacked did not sustain serious injuries.
