Archie enjoys making cameos in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Zoom calls
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren't immune to the challenges of parenting amid a pandemic.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are living (and working) with their one-year-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in their new Santa Barbara home—and the young royal isn't afraid of making his presence known.
Royal reporter Omid Scobie, the co-author of Finding Freedom, a recent biography of the Sussexes, recently revealed that little Archie has a cute habit of worming his way into his parents' conversations.
"I loved discovering [Harry and Meghan's] daily Zoom calls with the various initiatives and people that they work with. And how Archie is no stranger to climbing in front of the web camera and making little impromptu cameos," Scobie said on his podcast, "The HeirPod."
The Sussexes aren't the only royals caring for children during the COVID-19 crisis, and all that entails. Just this week, Prince William jokingly confessed his relief at having Prince George and Princess Charlotte once again attending school in-person, after months of remote learning and the summer break.
"I think every parent is breathing a sigh of relief that school has started again," William said, per Hello, adding: "Five months—it’s been wonderful, but it’s been a long five months."
Still at home, though, is William and Kate Middleton's youngest, Prince Louis—who also happens to be a bit of a Zoom rascal. When the Cambridges video chat with their extended family, "it gets a bit hectic, I’m not going to lie, with the two-year-old," Kate told the BBC in April.
William explained that Louis has a habit of hanging up: "For some reason he sees the red button, and always wants to press the red button."
