Ariana Grande gave us a rare glimpse at her natural curls in her quarantine look

Though Ariana Grande and her signature sky-high ponytail go together like peanut butter and jelly (aka perfection, basically) it’s always a treat when we catch a glimpse of her gorgeous natural curls. It’s true: Beneath her sleek straight mermaid-length pony lies some beautiful naturally curly strands, and it seems like she’s using her time spent in quarantine to let them loose.

Grande is rarely seen without her ponytail in tow. And while we love and respect any look she wants to rock, we have to admit that we have a serious soft spot for her natural hair. The “7 rings” singer showed off her quarantine-inspired curls in a new selfie. Needless to say, fans are loving her curly girl vibes.

It seems like she recently made the switch, too. She was spotted over the weekend on a virtual Victorious reunion with her famous ponytail intact. (It’s a bit hard to tell from the tiny Zoom photo, but it sure looks so.) But this new selfie shows off her curls in all their bouncy, voluminous glory.

Fans on Twitter are also loving the switch-up, immediately sharing their reactions to her natural strands. Many revealed that they especially love how the look pays homage to her baby Ari days.

Grande’s mom, Joan, even took to Twitter to share her thoughts. And we’ve gotta say, we agree with mama.

Of course, these days, most of us are embracing our natural hair as we continue to remain in quarantine due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. So we’re loving this moment of true relatability. Ari, we feel you, and we’ll all be letting our hair’s natural beauty shine.
