Two teenage boys have been arrested after reports of people carrying knives outside a college.

Police were called to Suffolk New College in Ipswich on the afternoon of Tuesday, 10 September.

It was reported that two males were seen outside the buildings, each carrying a knife before leaving, and no one was injured.

Two boys aged 16 and 17 were arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon, and questioned at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

Both were bailed until 15 November, and detectives said the investigation is continuing.
