Barron Trump, the youngest child of US President Donald Trump, may only be 13 years old but he’s already outstripping his father in at least one respect: his height.

New photos of the teen show him towering over his billionaire businessman dad and his mum, former model Melania, 49, as they made their way to board a private plane on the White House lawn last Friday.

The trio was snapped before jetting off to Palm Beach, Florida where they reportedly spent the weekend at ritzy resort the Mar-a-Lago Club.

How tall is Barron Trump?

While Barron’s exact height is unknown, the fact he appears at least a few inches taller than Donald, 73, gives us some indication.

According to an annual presidential physical exam carried out two years ago, Donald is 6ft 3in or 1.90m tall, potentially making his son close to two metres in height.

Donald’s two elder sons Donald Trump Jr, 42, and Eric Trump, 36, from his first marriage to Ivana are 6ft and 6ft 3in respectively.

Social media had some opinions on the youngster’s height, with one Twitter user writing, “Barron Trump is the world’s tallest 13 year old”.

“We all need to leave Barron Trump alone but MY GOD HE IS A TOWERING COLOSSUS good for him,” joked another.

American-based sports blog Barstool Sports went as far as to suggest that Barron has a future playing professional basketball with NBA team the Washington Wizards, and even compared him to Dallas Mavericks player Kristaps Porziņģis who is 7ft 3in tall.

Barron Trump’s private life

Despite being thrust into the headlines three years ago when his father became President of the United States of America, Barron has largely been kept out of the public eye.

His mother Melania is said to be very protective over Barron, her only child with Donald, and is said to have refused to move into the White House until he completed his school year at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School in New York City.

While Barron is rarely seen out and about because, as per White House rules, he cannot be photographed unless he’s in public with his parents, it’s not the first time he’s turned heads.

Barron, who turns 14 in March, stepped out for a rare public outing with his parents in August last year as they returned to the White House after spending two weeks at Trump’s golf club in New Jersey.

His appearance attracted similar tweets about his sporting potential.

And in November 2018, fans went into meltdown when Barron was seen walking into the White House alongside his parents after the Thanksgiving holidays.

People couldn’t get over how tall the teenager appeared in the snaps and took to their accounts to chat about his sudden growth spurt.
