The best country in the world, according to travel bloggers

We can’t think of anything much better than travelling the world for a living.

But we’ve always wondered, if you’ve been to every single country, how do you choose a favourite?

Thankfully, online travel agent Holidaygems.co.uk has answered the question for us by interviewing 33 travel influencers.

And which country remained firmly at the top of their bucket lists?

Japan.

In total, these influencers have been to a whopping 1,218 countries – that’s equivalent to covering every country 6 times!

Clearly infused with wanderlust, these travellers have been on over 2,800 trips.

Almost all agreed that Japan was the place to go for it’s unique culture and natural beauty.

“I love immersing myself in countries very different to the UK, and they don't come more different than Japan,” says Macca, from A Brit and a Broad.

The Travel Bunny’s Suzanne agreed, saying she loves Japan because it’s so culturally different from anywhere else on earth.

“I am fascinated by the culture, food traditions and beautiful landscapes,” says Katy from UntoldMorsels.

Even the bloggers that hadn’t been there yet said the country was firmly on the top of their bucket list.

“Japan is very different from Europe (and even the rest of Asia) and it's culture is intriguing. And we love Japanese food,” says Liza from Tripsget.

Coming in a close second was India, followed by Cuba, New Zealand and The Antarctic. Rounding up the list of top destinations was Thailand, China, Myanmar, Peru and Iceland.

Tokyo, here we come!
