The Best Looks from the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards Red Carpet

While nearly most of Hollywood's major events have been postponed or canceled this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards decided to move forward with its annual show — red carpet and all. Adhering to the CDC guidelines, the VMAs took place at several outdoor locations across New York City without an audience, and the step-and-repeat followed a similar standard.

The award show's history of wild red carpet looks has been well-documented (hello, Lady Gaga's meat dress), and given the lack of opportunities for celebrities to dress up while in quarantine, they took full advantage of the chance for a memorable fashion moment.
