Biden says granddaughter scheduled for Wednesday C-section
He’s leaving the White House in less than two weeks, but President Biden is poised to enter a new personal chapter this week as a first-time great-grandfather.
“I’m about to be a great-grandfather, Jesus od,” Biden said in an interview with USA Today’s Susan Page, published Wednesday.
His granddaughter, Naomi Biden, is scheduled for a C-section on Wednesday, according to the commander in chief.
The president’s eldest grandchild announced on Election Day last year that she was expecting her first child.
“(We) voted,” Biden, 30, wrote on Instagram in November.
Naomi Biden is the daughter of the president’s son, Hunter Biden. She married her husband, Peter Neal, in a ceremony held at the White House in 2022.
Biden, who is in the Los Angeles area, arrived at Cedars Sinai Hospital around 10 a.m. to visit his granddaughter. Hunter Biden was also spotted by reporters traveling with the president arriving at the hospital.
After his visit to the hospital, Biden is expected to receive a briefing from officials on the raging wildfires in the area before, He will then leave Los Angeles to return to the White House later on Wednesday.
