Big names to hit NZ shores in 2018

Pop fanatics and rock fiends alike will have their appetites sated as a number of big names are set to hit New Zealand shores in 2018.

Fans of pop megastar Ed Sheeran will have the chance to see his Divide tour, set for March/April at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland and Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.

Sales have been strong with two of the six concerts already sold-out and only a few tickets left for his three Auckland shows.

Queen of pop Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour isn't doing so well, with her single November 3 show at Mt Smart Stadium yet to sell out. Floor tickets for the show are $250 each.

The ''Look what you made me do" hit-maker has been struggling with ticket sales for all of her North American concerts, despite good reviews for her Reputation album.

P!nk will perform five shows in September on her Beautiful Trauma tour after adding two shows due to high demand.

She will play at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on September 1, and Spark Arena in Auckland on September 4 - 7.

Rock fans have a plethora of entertainment to chose from with Incubus, Prophets of Rage, Weezer/Foofighters and rumours of a U2 tour.

An official announcement of a U2 tour has yet to be made but NZME has reported the music legends are bringing their Joshua Tree tour to the country.

Foo Fighters will be playing at Mt Smart Stadium on March 2. A big drawcard will be the opening act, Weezer, which brought us 90's alt-rock classics such as "Say It Ain't So" and "Beverly Hills".

Prophets of Rage will play their first New Zealand show at Spark Arena on March 20.

The band was formed in 2016 drawing members from Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill.
