Influencer breaks down over losing X-rated income
An Australian influencer has broken down because the coronavirus pandemic has led to a big drop in followers on her OnlyFans account.
Billie Beever has taken to TikTok to share a video where she tearfully revealed she's been losing followers as a result of the outbreak and it's causing her to lose her income meaning she can't even pay her rent anymore.
OnlyFans is a subscription based platform that charges followers for X-rated photos and videos. Billie charges her fans $12.99 a month for access to her account, but also makes extra money with tips and requests, but many people can no longer afford to pay her and have been unsubscribing.
"Everyone on TV is always talking about how everyone has lost their jobs and people can't pay for anything anymore, but I'm losing subscribers on OnlyFans and that's my main source of income," she said.
"I can't pay my rent anymore, I can't work. And like even if I was to go back to work like what am I supposed to do, like go work in a strip club? Which they’re all closed down as well.
“They’re all closed, like all the strip clubs like you can’t even be f***ing close to someone because of social distancing.
"I have nothing else going for me, I have no other talent. I've got nothing else. I can't dance, I can't sing, I can't do anything. I don't understand what I'm supposed to do. I just want everything to go back to normal so people can keep subscribing to my OnlyFans."
Speaking with Daily Mail, Billie revealed she joined OnlyFans after welcoming her first baby in 2019, saying the flexibility suits her.
She explained what really went into sex work, saying many people don't believe it's an actual job, "I really want more people to understand and be aware that we do more than just taking a photo and uploading it. We have to find clients, marketing, advertising, we have to edit photos to meet certain criteria."
"We have to continuously have content, we have to strain our bodies just like a labourer does, and people have the audacity to say that sex work isn't a real job? It's completely mind-blowing."
