The bizarre items the Queen never travels without

She’s visited 128 countries during her long reign and now it’s been revealed that the Queen's suitcase for her trips is full to the brim with bizarre items.

The 91-year-old Monarch has her international travel packing down to a tee after spending years flying around the globe.

The Telegraph has unearthed some of the more unusual items she takes with her from home, which she never leaves Britain without.

According to the publication, Her Royal Highness’s health is of upmost priority when she’s travelling.

So much so in fact that both she and Prince Philip actually always have a pack of their blood with them wherever they go and a Royal Navy doctor.

Her trusty team make sure they’ve researched all hospitals in the area, just in case something was to suddenly happen.

When it comes to her wardrobe, the Queen is adamant that she should have a mourning outfit in the event of tragedy striking while she’s away.

Her instance is said to stem from her trip to Kenya in 1952, where she was informed her father, King George VI had died.

Unfortunately, all she had with her was a summer dress so she had to wait on her plane on the tarmac until a suitable black outfit was brought onboard for her to wear in public.

Another random item the Queen always has with her on international trips is her favourite bottle of gin.

She’s said to be partial to a gin with fortified wine and lemon in the evening and of course wants one on hand when she’s on her holidays.
