Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively reportedly let Taylor Swift reveal the name of their baby on the singer's new album, folklore. The song 'Betty' was named in part for the couple's third daughter, a source confirmed to People.

Lively and Reynolds secretly welcomed their third child in October 2019 but chose not to announce the name of their now nine-month-old daughter. When Reynolds appeared on the Today show, its hosts tried to get him to share the name, but he resisted, saying, "We're going to be original, and all the letters in her name are silent. I want to give her something to push against in life."

And what sweeter way to reveal your baby's name than via a Taylor Swift song? The singer, a close friend to the Hollywood couple, debuted her surprise album this week featuring a tender track called 'betty'. The names of Lively and Reynolds' two older daughters, James and Inez, feature in the lyrics, prompting fans to speculate that Betty is the name of their third child.

Swift sings on the track: "She said 'James, get in, let's drive,'" "You heard the rumors from Inez / You can't believe a word she says," as well as "Betty, I know where it all went wrong," which is repeated throughout the song.

The lyrics describe a teenage love triangle so although it's not explicitly about the Reynolds children, who are all under the age of six, fans quickly became convinced Swift had taken inspiration from their names.

This is not the first time Swift has drawn on her friendship with Lively and Reynolds in her music—she sampled their oldest daughter James' vocals on the song 'Gorgeous'.
