Blue Ivy Carter Cringes With Embarrassment Over Mum Beyoncé's Corny Joke

We've pretty much assumed that Beyoncé is one of the coolest mums around.

There's no need to really justify this assumption, but if anyone is wondering, we could cite her pop culture-dominating songs (From 'Crazy In Love' to 'Formation), music videos (from 'Single Ladies' to Black Is King), looks (Coachella 2018, 'Bootylicious') and actions (dropping surprise albums, performing a Black Lives Matter-inspired routine at the 2016 Super Bowl) and, well the list is indefinite.

But to her elder daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, Queen Bey can be embarrassing just like any other parent.

This was evident over the weekend when Beyoncé took part in her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson's virtual event for her organisation (with her husband Richard Lawson) WACO - an arts-focussed charity to empower and support the wider Los Angeles community.

As well as the annual art gala, Tina also called on her famous friends and families to tell a corny joke, all with the aim of raising money.

Enter Beyoncé, who video recorded this gem of a joke: 'Why does Snoop Dogg need an umbrella?'

We don't know Beyoncé, why does Snoop Dogg need an umbrella?

'For drizzle'.

Excellent.

However, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's first-born did not think so, as a small voice - identified by Tina as her granddaughter - could be heard saying: 'Mum. The voice. No. No.' before putting a hand over her mother's mouth.

This is not the first time Blue has had to tell her A-List parents to please chill and not embarrass her. At the 2018 Grammy awards, the eight-year-old went viral after she was seen telling her parents to 'ssh' during the ceremony.

Other jokes we appreciated for the charity event included Solange Knowles' '19 and 20 got into a fight... 21', Octavia Spencer's 'Did you hear about the two criminals who stole a calendar?... They got six months each,' and Megan Thee Stallion's: 'Why did the golfer bring an extra pair of pants?.. Because he got a hole in one.'

Keep them coming, please. They might just save 2020.
