Bottega Veneta is launching a cultural initiative in a bid to counteract social distancing and the uncertainty of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Bottega Residency aims to give a space each week for collaborators, muses and talents to celebrate the creativity that has influenced their lives, such as writers, musicians, film directors and performers.

Over the course of each weekend, the Bottega Residency will host a series of events that mirror an average weekend, to "provide a sense of familiar normality."

From live music performed by collaborating artists, cooking from rising-star chefs to a Sunday film night, there's plenty to keep viewers occupied during this time of self-isolation through the brand's "theatre of joyous distraction."

The first guest will be Daniel Lee, creative director at Bottega Veneta.

"Creativity and strength lie at the heart of Bottega Veneta," Lee told i-D. "In this highly distressing time, we feel a responsibility to celebrate those values and ignite a sense of joy and hope in our community and beyond."

The Bottega Residency will be available via Instagram, Youtube, Weibo, WeChat, Line, Kakao, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, as well as on the Bottega Veneta website and will launch this weekend.
