Bradley Cooper Confides in Dax Shepard About a 'Person' Who's Seen Him Cry 'Probably 150 Times in the Last Year'
On Dax Shepard's podcast 'Armchair Expert,' the actor detailed how he cries — and to whom
Bradley Cooper is opening up and letting the tears flow.
As a guest on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert, Cooper, 49, revealed that he’s had plenty of emotional quality time with “a person” that he “spends time with.”
“That person’s seen me cry — I’m not exaggerating — probably 150 times in the last year,” he told close friend Shepard, 49.
Although he didn't give names, Cooper has been seen with supermodel Gigi Hadid since October 2023, with the pair first spotted leaving together from celebrity hotspot Via Carota. In December, a source informed PEOPLE that the couple were “getting more and more serious.”
Late January, Hadid, 28, and Cooper coordinated in lowkey outfits as they held hands on a stroll in London. Then in February, while out and about in N.Y.C., the father of one donned a crewneck from Hadid’s brand Guest In Residence.
The actor detailed on the Tuesday episode how becoming “calmer” in life has changed the way he cries. He called himself “the ugliest crier” because his “whole body starts to shake.”
“I was never the one tear guy. I was like, you sure you want me to cry in this scene? It’s going to be very uncomfortable,” he joked.
Now, through therapy and meditation, the Maestro star said he cries “so differently now,” no longer convulsing in sobs. “There’s just more relaxation,” Cooper said. “I recognized that a couple months ago. I was like, tears are coming down. I’m not like, having a seizure.”

“I want her to have as much as she can. A foundation that’s 25-feet thick cement that she can walk on this earth with. That’s the goal,” Cooper said of Lea.
