Britney Spears slams lip-syncing accusations
Britney Spears wants fans to know she can actually sing.
The star decided to put those lip syncing rumours to shame by belting out a cover of Bonnie Raitt’s infamous hit Something To Talk About while performing in Las Vegas.
The pop star, who has been plagued by miming accusations for most of her career, prefaced the song with a mini-rant directed at haters.
“So I’ve been doing a lot thinking lately, right?” she said.
“This morning I woke up and I was like, ‘There’s a lot of things going on in the world’ and stuff, but basically I looked and I was like, you know what, the press and the media my whole life … you know, it’s really crazy, one minute they tear you down and they’re really horrible, and the next minute you’re on top of the world, you know?”
She continued: “I’ve never really spoke about it, you know, and I’m a Southern girl. I’m from Louisiana. I’m from the South and I like to keep it real, so I want to just make sure I keep having you mother***ers something to talk about, okay?”
It's good to see the star back doing what she does best after she was rushed on stage by a crazed fan during a recent performace.
The man ended up being tackled by her backing dancers and security guards before being dragged oout of the auditorium.
