Anybody who watched Camilla Thurlow's season of popular reality TV show, Love Island, where she met her now-partner, Jamie Jewitt, will know that she's authentic to a tee. Ever since the former bomb disposal expert announced her pregnancy earlier this year, Camilla took her fans along for the journey by posting candid photos of her ever-changing bump on Instagram and sharing updates as to how she was finding life as an expectant mother.

Now that she Jamie have welcomed their daughter, Nell, into the world, that hasn't changed – and Camilla recently posted an honest caption alongside an intimate photo of herself breastfeeding. Telling her 1.5 million followers she took the snap at 3am during a night feed, Camilla said she wasn't having the easiest time with breastfeeding (something a lot of mothers will no doubt relate to).

"3am is when I do my best online shopping," she started the post. "Truly though, I look very happy in this picture and these moments in the middle of the night are precious ones that I am forever grateful for, but I definitely don't want to sugarcoat how challenging I have found breastfeeding so far."

She continued on to say how grateful she feels for the support she's received from the NHS, as well as Jamie. "Maybe one day I'll talk about my experience with it, but for now I just want to say greatest respect to all the mothers out there figuring out their way to feed their baby, it's a tricky journey and I'm so grateful for the support I've had from the NHS and of course from @jamiejewitt_."

People quickly rushed to praise Camilla for speaking openly about the sometimes taboo subject, as well as offer their support to the new parent. "Well done mama, after the first 6 weeks or so it will feel much easier, one thing I would recommend is feeding laying down, makes the night feeds much easier," wrote one. Another added, "Thank you for normalising breastfeeding 💕🙌🏼 you look lovely and are doing an amazing thing 🤱🏻 ps. The night feeds don’t last forever, promise."

Other women shared their own stories too: "Go you! Thank you for using your platform to talk about this. While I was pregnant I was told it is such an amazing experience and bonding time. Yes it is, but I wish more people had prepared me for how difficult it will be. Nobody talks about it enough."

Well done Camilla for posting about something millions of others have experienced, but haven't always felt comfortable speaking about – or asking for help with. (Also, how cute is Nell?).
