Carrie Bickmore has had a huge year, finishing up her hosting gig on The Project and sadly separating from her partner of 13 years all within months of each other.
The 42-year-old radio host is also lamenting the fact that her three children are getting older, especially her eldest Ollie, who turned 16 this week.
Taking to her Instagram account, Carrie posted a sweet picture of a baby feet plaster from when Ollie was little, showing just how much he’s grown over the years.
“Your little feet may have grown (into a giants!!)…but you are still the same sweet, calm, observant, friendly, loving boy you were the day you were born,” Carrie wrote.
“Being your mum is the actual best. Love you always Ollie. Happy 16th.”
Carrie’s fans couldn’t believe how fast the years have gone by, with one person commenting: “I remember you pregnant on Rove Live with him! How is he 16 already!!! Happy 16th Ollie.”
“Omg is he 16 already..wow where did the years go,” another person wrote.
“I was pregnant at the same time with my first, like you. So I’ve followed all the growth of your Ollie with my Noah. Mine is 2 months off 16. Happy bday Ollie,” a fan wrote.
Carrie also updated her fans with a photo of Ollie’s car cake, with the teenager obviously being a big F1 fan.
“Back for another round of..‘But which one is the cake???’ “ Carrie captioned the snap.
Carrie’s Carry and Tommy Show co-host, Tommy Little, commented on the snap, cheekily saying: “The one with the icing?”.
Others were seriously impressed with Carrie’s effort, with one person calling for a cake-off between her and Hamish Blake, who famously creates a range of intricate cake designs for his two children on their birthdays.
“You and @hamishblakeshotz need to do a bakeoff !!! @bickmorecarrie this is awesome “ a fan wrote.
Carrie's shocking split
Carrie shocked her fans last January when she announced she was splitting with her partner of 13 years, Chris Walker.
Carrie met Chris on the set of The Project in 2012 after her first husband and father to oldest son Ollie, Greg Lange, died in 2010 after a battle with brain cancer.
She and Chris later welcomed Evie and Adelaide into the world.
