Celebrity Big Brother's India Willoughby has addressed the controversy over her 'drag phobia' following her eviction.

The nation's first trans reader also became the first housemate evicted from Celebrity Big Brother 2018during a live Channel 5 special on Friday (January 12), when she lost the public vote to Love Island's Jonny Mitchell.

India's time in the house was marked by controversy. Perhaps India generated the most headlines for claiming to have a fear of drag queens despite having posed happily with plenty of them on social media.

The topic was addressed in her exit interview, when Emma Willis asked if spending time with drag performer Shane Jenek over the last week had alleviated India's phobia.

"To a degree," she answered. "I'm just being honest here folks, I don't know whether I'll completely lose that [fear]. But Shane, I'm cool with.

"I think it's because I know who's behind that exterior. I got to know him."

India was also quick to credit Shane as being "crucial" to her ability to get along in the house when she was on the outs with Ann Widdecombe or Amanda Barrie.

"When I was feeling really cut off, he was probably one of only two people that I felt I could talk to," she admitted. "He was really good, strong… I would say that me and Shane really do agree on about 80-90% of things.

"It's only that last 10%. We do have a lot more in common than not."

Celebrity Big Brother continues on Saturday (January 13) at the much later time of 10.30pm on Channel 5.
