Chad Michael Murray has brought Austin Ames back in the best way.

Kudos, Prince Charming.

The actor who played Ames (aka Nomad 609) in 2004's A Cinderella Story brought Austin's Halloween dance Prince Charming outfit out of retirement to attend an Alice in Wonderland-themed prom thrown by the Children's Hospital of Orange County on Saturday (June 24).

"It was incredible," he captioned the video. "I Brought Austin Ames out of retirement, I mean, hey, it's Prom.

"Met the best kids & got to dance with my Wife at her first Prom. Thank you Warner Bros for letting me take the wardrobe out for a night.

"Big win- IT STILL FITS!"

The gloriously nostalgic moment was shared by his wife Sarah Roemer, who was celebrating her first prom, in this adorable photo.

"I waited for a prince and he took me to my 1st prom," she said.

He was also captured at the event talking to patients of the hospital. Total Ames move and we LOVE him for it.

In the 2004 movie, Austin is the quarterback of the high school football team posing as online user Nomad 609 and talking to Hilary Duff's Sam (Princeton Girl 818), who meet for the first time at the school's Halloween dance.

Oh, the early noughties.

Nowadays, we imagine it would all be done over Tinder and their covers would be blown by their evening's Instagram stories.

Oh, and everyone would be dressed as 2014 Miley Cyrus, obviously.
