Channel 10’s Natasha Exelby ‘in a lot of pain’ after contracting Covid

Channel 10 presenter Natasha Exelby has revealed that she’s suffering from severe symptoms after testing positive for Covid-19.

The TV star, who is 'triple-vaxxed', took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video recounting her experience so far and said she would "perish the thought" if she wasn’t vaccinated.

“Hello, my name is Natasha Exelby and I am Covid positive,” she began, speaking with a raspy voice.

“I was officially diagnosed on Monday, had my test on Saturday and have pretty much been in hibernation and a lot of pain ever since.”

Natasha went on to say that the walk from her bedroom to the bathroom “has felt like a decathlon” and she only recently managed to spend a day awake for more than five hours.

“What's interesting is that I'm triple-vaxxed,” she continued, telling her followers that she initially wasn’t sure if she was actually sick until her temperature reached 40 degrees.

“People might say, ‘Well what's the point of getting vaxxed or triple-vaxxed if you're still going to get sick?’. The point is that if I wasn't triple-vaxxed and I got Covid I perish the thought of where I would be.

“I know I'm not a spring chicken, but I'm also not an old duck. I'm 38 and it has still knocked me for six.”

The former I’m A Celebrity contestant ended the video sending “big love” to healthcare workers and encouraging others to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

She also added a shoutout in the caption to those who are “working hard to keep our businesses and society afloat”.

Natasha’s video comes after her fellow Studio 10 co-stars Sarah Harris and Tristan McManus also tested positive for Covid and had to spend a week at home while ex-Bachelor Matty J filled in.

A number of Natasha’s famous followers shared words of encouragement in the comments, including Gogglebox’s Yvie Jones, Brendan Fevola and Angela Bishop.

“Holy cannoli. Hope you feel better babes! Wishing you a speedy recovery,” The Project’s Jan Fran wrote, followed by Rob Mills who added, “Love you. Get well”.

“So sorry you’ve been whacked so hard Tash! Go well my friend. What a rough start to the year, can only get better,” Narelda Jacobs shared.
