Chiefs Vs. Chargers Boosts CBS To Best NFL Week 7 Game Window In 10 Years
CBS takes the crown for Week 7 of the NFL regular season, with a little help from the Kansas City Chiefs.
The NFL on CBS late national window hosted the team’s defeat of the Los Angeles Chargers in a majority of markets, averaging 24.38M viewers. Not only was it the most-watched NFL game this week, it is also the most-watched Week 7 game window for CBS in a decade.

In the earlier regional game window, led by the Bills-Patriots game in about 50% of markets, CBS scored 15.7M viewers. That’s the network’s most-watched Week 7 regional game since 1998.
Overall, the doubleheader averaged 19.73M viewers, which is also a Week 7 best for CBS (since 1998). According to Paramount Global, streaming viewership on Paramount+ has continued to register double-digit year-over-year growth each week this season (though the company did not provide any data).
NBC’s Sunday Night Football claimed second place this week with the Philadelphia Eagles’ win over the Miami Dolphins amassing 20.61M viewers.
Monday Night Football on ESPN and ABC took a late seat in third place, drawing 18.6M viewers for the San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings. That’s the best Week 7 MNF audience since 2006, and its up 57% from the comparable game window last year.
Rounding out Week 7, Ravens-Lions took home 14.53M viewers on Fox. The Saints-Jaguars managed to kick off the weekend with 9.79M on Prime Video for Thursday Night Football.
