Christine Quinn "disappointed" with how her wedding was portrayed on Selling Sunset S3
Selling Sunset is finally back. Season three of the Netflix original lands on the streaming service today, and with it comes all the drama (and the mansions) we've been missing for months.
In the last series we saw Christine Quinn's extravagant engagement party and in April of this year People confirmed that Christine and her fiancé Christian Richard were married in a secret ceremony in December 2019, with Selling Sunset cameras present. So we knew we'd be seeing the extravagant gothic wedding in the new series, but in a recent interview Christine said she was "disappointed" with the way the wedding came across on the show.
In an interview with People, Christine said, "I was a little disappointed. It just didn't really showcase the way that it was. The wedding was the best day of my life and it was hard for me to watch it on the television show because that's not really the way that I remember it," she said.
"I understand they wanted to get certain storylines in there, but this was actually my day. This was my day, and I was just disappointed in the way it was perceived on camera and translated, unfortunately. I'm not going to lie, I was crying when I watched it. I was like, 'This is not my wedding, this is not my wedding'.
"I would have loved some vows," she continued. "I would have loved a line from me: I talked with all the girls afterward, they congratulated me."
Christine told the publication that she had wanted the viewers to see more of the gothic wonderland she had created for the wedding, in which she finally got to realise her dream of wearing a black wedding dress and walked down the aisle in sparkling red Christian Louboutins to Ava Max's Sweet But Psycho.
The gothic ceremony was attended by 75 of their close friends and family who enjoyed a 55 inch cake which appeared to bleed when cut into, while the newly married couple sat on golden thrones as fog spread throughout the room designed to look like a forest.
"We had these huge LED screens that were gorgeous," she continued. "Projecting snow and rain and [playing] thunder, and all these fabulous things. It was just a whole theatrical performance."
