Coco cops huge fine for angry Aussie Open outburst

American Coco Vandeweghe has copped punishment for her antics during her horror opening day encounter with Timea Babos.

Suffering from a severe flu, Vandeweghe was frustrated throughout the match, and let her emotions get the better of her on a number of occasions.

She accused her opponent of being too "in your face with her c’mons”, before reportedly unleashing a foul-mouthed tirade across the court.

Reporters and fans on Twitter were saying Vandeweghe said something along the lines of “f*** off you f***ing b***h,” in relation to her opponent.

Now she's been hit with a $10,000 fine for the indiscretion, the largest fine of many given out at the Aussie Open so far.

Aussie hopeful Nick Kyrgios was fined $3,000 for an angry outburst at a fan during his first round victory.
