Contestants bare all for annual Miss Bumbum competition
Women have stripped down to their thongs for Brazil’s annual Miss Bumbum competition.
Fourteen hopefuls flaunted their ample assets as they strutted down the catwalk in what has been dubbed one of the year’s biggest events in Brazil.
After a few rounds of judging which saw the contestants wear evening wear before stripping down to nothing but skimpy thongs and brassieres, Rosie Oliveira was crowned the winner.
The 28-year-old was given the title of Brazil’s most beautiful bottom, and will likely now become quite famous as a result of the competition.
Rosie burst into tears as she was crowned the winner, admitting that she actually left her husband to be able to participate in the contest.
“He told me to choose between this and him. But I'd already entered the competition without him knowing,” Rosie said at the ceremony.
“It was the easiest decision I've ever made. I've dreamed of this moment since I was a child, I wasn't going to let my husband get in the way.
"It's still sinking in, I still can't believe it actually happened. I'm pinching myself to see if I might still wake up.”
Many of the ladies left little to the imagination, with one woman even stripping everything off bare a few sequins which covered her modesty.
They danced, wiggled and twerked for the judges’ attention, showing off their behinds which measured between 92 and 107cm round.
The floor was packed with reporters and photographers who cover the annual contest, which was first launched in 2011.
