They’re meant to set the tone for what kind of theme guests can expect at a wedding, but one couple’s save the date cards have been ridiculed online for being too hot and steamy.

An image of the card was posted to a wedding Facebook group, where members couldn’t get over that the couple used a snap touching tongues as the main image.

As if that wasn’t enough, they surrounded the x-rated photo with six other mini snaps, with one showing them naked underneath a towel and another showing the bride-to-be with her hand on her husband-to-be’s manhood.

The person who posted the photo pointed out that the couple tied the knot on the 20th of April, which is famously celebrated as a cannabis smoking day in the US.

“Shaming a Save the Date. Nothing says “Come to our 4/20 wedding” like some in-your-face tongue action and a good ol’ fashion crotch grab,” the shamer said.

“I even tried to cover the dogs’ faces to save them the embarrassment…”

People were shocked that the couple would send out such a save the date and called it ‘gross, trashy and classless’.

“If they do this for the save the date should you expect full frontal nudity at the ceremony? Will there be an exotic dance show? Should you pack singles???” one person said.

Well at least they know it’s not going to be a boring wedding.
