Courteney Cox Just Wore the Most Famous White Comfortable Sneaker Ever

Against all odds, high heels are trending again. Hailey Bieber just stepped out wearing a pair of Bottega Veneta mesh sandals with denim shorts. Apparently, Nobu is still open (?) and Kendall Jenner keeps showing up in square-toe pumps. Tracee Ellis Ross has been wearing Louboutins to the kitchen for weeks.

The quarantine style tide has officially shifted. Long gone are the days of wearing sweatpants 24/7. The pandemic is still happening, as are face masks. But if Angelina Jolie can wear a $5 face covering with a $6,000 gown, anything really goes these days. There’s really no reason not to dress up, even if no one will see you. Courteney Cox though is still not giving up on the comfortable white sneaker.

While at the farmer’s market in Malibu earlier this week, Cox wore the most controversial jeans (low-rise) with the most famous sneakers (Adidas Stan Smiths). It’s a tale as old as time. Cox’s outfit is the go-to look most of us wear while running errands (maybe minus the low-rise silhouette, but that’s another story).

Meghan Markle is also a fan of the Adidas Stan Smith sneaker. So are Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes. The celeb-approved shoe definitely started the white sneaker trend that began years ago and has yet to slow down. If anything, they regained massive popularity at the beginning of the pandemic when everyone’s social calendar was wiped and white sneakers and jeans were all anyone wanted to wear.

And while celebrities seem to be stepping away from the comfortable staple in order to finally start pulling extra looks again during the millionth month of quarantine, Cox proves these sneakers will never go out of style. And if you’re really daring enough to start wearing low-rise jeans again, they’re clearly the perfect shoes to wear them with.
