Coventry hit-and-run crash suspect arrested

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Coventry.

Anthony McDonagh, 33, from Coventry, is due before magistrates in the city on Saturday, West Midlands Police said.

The woman, in her 30s, sustained severe leg injuries in Alderman's Green Road on 15 July.

Detectives said they believe she was hit by at least one car following some disorder just before the crash.
