It's been eight years since we bid farewell to the residents of Wisteria Lane, Fairview - the Suburban street that was home to widespread infidelity, murder, multiple house fires, baby-swapping, plane crashes and more - as Desperate Housewives ended.

The long-running drama, which centred around four of the housewives: Gabrielle, Brie, Susan and Lynette and their families, made stars of cast members like Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman, won Golden Globes, Emmys and SAG awards and developed a devoted fan base eager to keep up with the gripping occurrences that happened on the street.

On Tuesday, it was announced that several of the cast from the show will be reuniting to raise money for The Actor's Fund, which aims to support creatives affected by losing work due to the current global health situation.

According to Deadline, Longoria (Gabby) and Cross (Brie) will be joined by Strong (Mary-Alice), Vanessa Williams (Renee) and Dana Delaney (Katherine) on the daily live streamed show Stars in the House where they are likely to discuss their time on the show which ran from 2004 to 2012.

Noticeably absent from the reunion is Teri Hatcher, who played Susan, Nicolette Sheridan (Edie) and Felicity Huffman who portrayed Lynette.

In October, Huffman was released from a Californian federal prison after serving 11 days for her part in the college admissions scandal. Huffman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud after admitting paying a fee to the man in charge of the scam to boost her daughter's test scores to get into university, reported the BBC.

Other shows which will see the cast get together as part of Stars in the House - which can be streamed on YouTube - include Young Sheldon and Barry. Last week saw the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and This Is Us cast get together.
