The 1993 adventure comedy about three witches is being rebooted for a follow-up that will be out in autumn 2022.
As excitement mounts, Disney has tweeted a snap of the trio in character as the spooky Sanderson sisters.
The post said: “They're already running amok, amok, amok!
"@BetteMidler, @SJP and @KathyNajimy are in production on #HocusPocus2, coming Fall 2022 on #DisneyPlus."

Midler posted the same tweet on her account, captioning it: “Sistaaaaahs! ‘Tis time!”
The original film about three sisters who are accidentally resurrected in Salem has become a cult hit.
Rumours of a sequel have been around for some time and last year it was confirmed that it was in the pipeline and that the three main stars would reunite.
Film fans were excited to get their first peek at the actors reprising the roles of Winnie (Midler), Sarah (Parker) and Mary (Najimy).
"Hell yes! Love an awesome trio!" wrote one on Twitter.
"EXCITEMENT LEVELS 3000!" said another, adding that Hocus Pocus was one of their top movies.
"Hocus Pocus is one of these movies that really had an impact on me as a child, it was unique, a bit scary but fun too," said another.
"Loved Hocus Pocus. Can't wait for #2 to come out!" said another.
"Who needs Christmas when there is Hocus Pocus?!?!?!?!?!?!?" one fan joked.
Plenty of fans also commented on how great the stars look even though 28 years have passed.
"I'm utterly convinced the actress playing the witches in Hocus Pocus are immortal," said one.
"They look exactly the same in the new image for the sequel."
