Dixie Chicks and a New Cat? Everything You May Have Missed in Taylor Swift's New 'ME!' Video
Taylor Swift‘s metamorphosis is complete!
In an enchanting new music video for the first single off her upcoming seventh studio album, the Grammy winner, 29, sheds her slithery snake skin and, well, literally explodes into a kaleidoscope of butterflies as she embraces everything about “ME!”
“I’m the only one of me / Baby, that’s the fun of me / You’re the only one of you / Baby, that’s the fun of you / And I promise that nobody’s gonna love you like me,” she sings on the chorus.
Naturally, the superstar loaded the whimsical music video — which she co-directed with Dave Meyers — with Easter eggs about her life and possibly upcoming music. See what you may have missed:

Karyn, is that you? While Swift was certainly the star of the show on her sold-out Reputation Stadium Tour, fans were just as giddy to see someone else on stage: her giant snake.
“A few years ago, someone started an online hate campaign by calling me a snake on the internet,” Swift wrote in Elle last month, alluding to her feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West. “The fact that so many people jumped on board with it led me to feeling lower than I’ve ever felt in my life, but I can’t tell you how hard I had to keep from laughing every time my 63-foot inflatable cobra named Karyn appeared onstage in front of 60,000 screaming fans.”
Well, it appears Karyn’s gotten a makeover over the last few months. In the “Me!” video, a snake that fans believe is Karyn sports light-pink markings that feel much more TS7 than reputation.

Within the first 15 seconds of the video, the reptile bursts into a flutter of butterflies, proving Swift is putting her darkest moments behind her.
Could a Dixie Chicks collab be coming next? About a minute into the video, the camera pans to a wall of now-familiar framed chickens sporting sunglasses — but smack dab in the center of the gallery is a portrait of the group.

The “Landslide” singers also took notice, tweeting Swift shortly after the song’s release.

And of course, there is no shortage of cats. Swift’s beloved “daughters” Meredith and Olivia get their turn in front of the cameras yet again, and various felines are spotted throughout the video.
There’s also a silver cat perched on top of a corner table, a black cat in a painting — and the grumpiest little kitten. At the 2:12 mark, Swift’s co-star (and co-writer!) Brendon Urie presents her with an adorable cat, which many fans believe is a new member of the singer’s family. (Swift confirmed that news Friday morning.)

An eagle-eyed fan also spotted the word “Lover” under the giant unicorn in the video and speculated that it could be another track off of Swift’s upcoming album.

One inclusion confusing Swifties is a glittery Christmas tree in the corner. The singer has often referenced growing up on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania, however, so we’re placing our bets there.

“‘ME!’ is a song about embracing your individuality and really celebrating it and owning it,” she told Robin Roberts during an interview on Thursday. “With a pop song, we have an ability to get a melody stuck in people’s heads and I just want it to be one that makes them feel better about themselves.”
ME! Out now! Made this song with @brendonurie and @iamjoellittle. Dave Meyers and I co-directed the video. And everyone knows you can’t spell awesome without DAVIDBRENDONJOEL. Oh wait... https://t.co/xFsUDfSRSJ pic.twitter.com/0FgYZqMeOP

Swift’s new song — which she co-wrote with Urie and Joel Little — is her first since she left her longtime home Big Machine Label Group and moved over to Republic Records and Universal Music Group.
