Dua Lipa Had the Best Response to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's Engagement

After five years together, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are engaged. But, hey, you probably already thought they were, right? Or maybe even married? Scroll through any social media comments about the engagement, and you'll see that many fans were sure they'd already made things official. That includes Dua Lipa, who commented on the news by referencing a time she once mistook Shelton for Stefani's husband...to Stefani's face.
On October 27th, Stefani announced her engagement by posting a photo of herself kissing Shelton while showing off her ring. She captioned the pic, "@blakeshelton yes please!" She got a ton of congratulatory messages from fans and other celebrities, including Alicia Keys, John Legend, Jimmy Fallon, and Kate Hudson. But Dua Lipa, as noted by Comments By Celebs, wrote, "I guess our little interview aged well!!!!!! Congratulations!!! Best News."
Lipa was referring to an interview she conducted with Stefani when she was guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! in August. Lipa asked Stefani, "I heard that you've been spending quarantine with your husband Blake Shelton at the ranch in Oklahoma. Who else was with you? How was that?"
The No Doubt singer responded, "Well, he's not my husband. But it sounded cool when you said it."
Lipa looked embarrassed at her mistake, but they both laughed it off and kept things moving.
Now, everyone, including Lipa, knows exactly where Shelton and Stefani stand in their relationship. They're not married. They're engaged. And when they do get tie the knot, they'll probably share the news themselves in some sort of cute Instagram only to be inundated with comments asking, "Wait, weren't you already married?"
