The Duchess of Cambridge credits "amazing granny" in first ever podcast
The Duchess of Cambridge has shared details of her childhood as she described how her "amazing granny" inspires her parenting in her first ever podcast.
The 38-year-old royal recalled how her grandmother involved her as a child in arts and crafts, gardening and cooking, which she replicates for her own children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Featuring on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Kate explored her Five Big Questions On The Under Fives survey which she launched to start a debate about early childhood.

Kate told host and author Fletcher - married to McFly's Tom Fletcher - that the survey aims to ask people "what is it that matters for them in raising their children today."
"I had an amazing granny who devoted a lot of time to us, playing with us, doing arts and crafts and going to the greenhouse to do gardening, and cooking with us," she revealed.
"And I try and incorporate a lot of the experiences that she gave us at the time into the experiences that I give my children now."
The duchess disclosed that her priorities for her family include providing a "happy home" and "safe environment" which she enjoyed as a child.
She also stressed the importance of the outdoors, which she said is beneficial for children both physically and mentally.
"It's such a great environment to spend time in, building those quality relationships without the distractions of 'I've got to cook' and 'I've got to do this'. And actually, it's so simple," she added.
Kensington Palace has said that Kate's month-long online poll, conducted by Ipsos Mori on behalf of her Royal Foundation, aims to "spark a national conversation" on early childhood. The results are intended to guide the duchess' future work.
