Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Makes Rare Appearance With Girlfriend Bry Burrows at Time100 Next Gala
The couple celebrated the NFL star’s inclusion in the list of 2023's rising leaders
Jalen Hurts shines on both the gridiron and the glamor scene.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, 25, who led his team to the Super Bowl in February, made a rare appearance with girlfriend Bryonna "Bry" Burrows at the Time100 Next Gala in New York City on Tuesday.
The event was to honor Hurts and 99 other inspirational people from around the world for making the annual TIME100 Next, with the magazine noting how the athlete, "who this summer signed a contract making him the highest paid football player in history, [is] 'a model of how to approach a job.' "
In April, the NFL star confirmed his relationship with Burrows in an Essence cover story, telling the magazine: "I'm not married or anything like that. But I am spoken for."

Speculation about their romance was first sparked when they celebrated together on the field after the Eagles’ NFC Championship victory over the San Francisco 49ers in January.
However, the quarterback revealed to Essence that he and Burrows had an on-and-off relationship since college when they first crossed paths at the University of Alabama. "I knew a long time ago," Hurts told the magazine. "I mean, to this point in my life, that's an irreplaceable feeling. I think that's what allowed us to get to where we are now."

Hurts and Burrows are both private and successful in their respective fields. Burrows resides in Dallas and has a career in tech as an artificial intelligence partner for IBM, where she has been employed for around four years, per LinkedIn.
After sharing an article about how to deal with the "always-on" culture in a 2021 LinkedIn post, Burrows loved the suggestion to "do something active," writing it was a "game changer" for her.

"I am very #extraverted and being outside recharges me every time!" she wrote in the caption.
Burrows was part of the MBA Case Team that brought glory to the Crimson Tide, just like Hurts did as a quarterback. She was part of the team that won the 2019 SEC Championship and has described it as "one of my most memorable moments of grad school."
