EastEnders' Lauren threatens to expose Max's secret
EastEnders' Max Branning will fear for his big revenge secret next week when Lauren threatens to expose him.
Upcoming scenes will see Lauren make a huge discovery regarding her dad's real involvement with Weyland, leaving her with some very important decisions to make.
Max will be left horrified to learn from Willmott-Brown that Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) is on to their plan – warning him to stop his daughter from revealing the truth.
A frantic Max is relieved when Lauren agrees to meet with him, but it's clear he has a big problem on his hands when she threatens to go public with the bombshell.
Under pressure and desperate, Max manipulates Lauren into staying quiet; lying that the plan hasn't even been confirmed yet.
Max's words are enough to get Lauren off his back for the time being, but her conscience eventually gets the better of her and she later tells him that she's changed her mind.
Unfortunately, after Willmott-Brown overhears Lauren's discussion with Max, his son Luke deliberately makes life hard for her at work. But with the pressure rising, will Lauren go through with her plan to expose Max and the other Weyland schemers?
However, silencing Lauren isn't the only problem that Max has to contend with next week as his 'girlfriend' Carmel becomes convinced that he's planning to propose to her.
When Carmel questions Max as to how he really feels about her, he is backed into a corner when she suggests that they move in together.
Carmel falls deeper in love with Max when he appears to agree with her suggestion and is left ecstatic when she finds an engagement ring.
Convinced Max is about to pop the question, an excited Carmel waits for him with her friends and family in The Vic as he and Willmott-Brown share a toast ahead of their big plan tonight. But what is going on? And given that we know that Max's heart really lies with Fi, is Carmel setting herself up for an almighty fall?
EastEnders airs these scenes next week on BBC One.
