1. EastEnders: Phil Mitchell is back! (Monday at 8pm and Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

There was never much danger of Phil Mitchell having a low-key return to Albert Square, but the stakes for his big comeback have turned out to be higher than anyone could have imagined. Not only is Phil's teenage daughter Louise seriously injured in hospital after the shocking events of the school prom, the Walford hardman also has to face a tense reunion with the woman who gunned him down in 2001.

When Phil arrives back after nearly seven months away from the Square, it's fair to say that he's not too pleased to see Lisa Fowler and wants her to stay away from their daughter. But with Lisa determined to make up for lost time and be there for Louise, is a new war brewing between these old flames? Let's just hope Lisa isn't armed and dangerous this time, for everyone's sake...

2. Hollyoaks: Neeta and Hunter sleep together in Ibiza (Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

We love it when the soaps go on holiday and there's sure to be a classic mix of fun, drama and sexiness when Hollyoaks lands in Ibiza this week. The sun-kissed episodes feature the arrival of new hunk Brody, but it looks like it will be Neeta and Hunter who steal the spotlight as their scandalous relationship develops even further during their time away.

At first, Neeta isn't best pleased when Hunter arrives unexpectedly to join her in Ibiza, but it soon becomes obvious that she's trying to mask her true feelings for the teen with her frosty behaviour. Neeta and Hunter end up sleeping together when the chemistry between them becomes impossible to ignore, but surely this teacher-student fling is going to cause a whole world of trouble?

3. Emmerdale: Pierce's fate is revealed in court (Friday at 7pm on ITV)

It's no secret that Pierce will be leaving Emmerdale soon, but will his exit see him rightly hauled off to prison, or will his comeuppance take a different form? That's the big question we'll all be pondering as his rape trial plays out over a week's worth of episodes.

Although this is Rhona's big chance to get justice after her ordeal, the case doesn't start well for her as she crumbles under tough questioning from Pierce's defence. To make matters worse, Vanessa gets caught out for telling lies in her own testimony, which casts further doubt on Rhona and her allies.

The only slight ray of hope comes when Rhona gets an unexpected moment alone with Pierce in a side room at the court, which leaves him so rattled that he actually acknowledges his crime for the first time. Nobody else is around to hear Pierce's confession, but could this start a chain of events that leads to his downfall?

4. Coronation Street: Michelle and Robert's horror attack (Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

Michelle and Robert should still be in the honeymoon period of their relationship right now, but instead they're having to deal with some menacing enemies as a result of Robert's dark past. Just when it seemed that Robert's old friend Rich was bluffing with his recent threats of revenge, things suddenly turn very sinister on the cobbles.

Michelle is already alarmed enough when the Bistro gets targeted with abusive graffiti, but the situation soon goes from petty to perilous when someone then mugs Robert out in town. The worst incident is saved till last, when a Molotov cocktail is hurled towards the Bistro door, setting it on fire. There's no doubt that all three unsettling events are connected, but are Michelle and Robert right to suspect that Rich is to blame?

5. Neighbours: The Brennans are reunited with their mum (Friday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

It's time to learn even more about the Brennan brothers' surprising backstory as their mum Fay invites herself to Erinsborough without much warning, wanting to catch up with her three sons. News of her imminent arrival doesn't go down particularly well though, with Tyler and Aaron particularly uneasy about having to catch up with her.

While Tyler feels bitter about Fay leaving him at the mercy of his abusive father Russell all those years ago, Aaron feels that his mum wasn't there for him when he was coming to terms with his sexuality as a teenager.

Perhaps most interesting is we've been promised this is just the start of a huge few months for the Brennans, and these early issues may well be overshadowed by another bombshell that Fay needs to drop in a few weeks' time...

6. EastEnders: Steven's shock proposal (Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

There's no end in sight for Steven's sly scheming as he steps up his attempts to trap Lauren into staying with him – this time by making a very public proposal at the Queen Vic.

Not content with just lying about having a brain tumour, Steven reckons that Lauren will feel even more pressured to stick around after his grand gesture. Is he right, or will it be a step too far for her? Even if Lauren does say yes, how on earth will green-eyed Abi react to Steven's latest creepy tactic?

7. Coronation Street: Summer finally moves in with Todd and Billy (Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

Todd and Billy's lives change forever as they finally take on responsibility of Summer, just like her father Drew wanted before he died. At last! This comes after we discover that Summer is struggling with life at her grandparents' house already, finding them way too strict.

Billy and Todd make one last appeal to Geraldine and Angus after hearing of Summer's troubles, wanting them to see sense over the grieving young girl's future. Although we can't reveal the exact details, Summer is living with Todd and Billy by the end of the week – but there's a long road ahead for the new family as she's nowhere close to accepting her dad's recent death.

8. Hollyoaks: Luke's secrets are revealed (Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

After Luke Morgan's intriguing return to our screens at the end of last week, it doesn't take too long for us to discover why he resorted to stealing from his old mate Darren.

It turns out that Luke has a serious alcohol problem and has recently lost his job, sending him on a downward spiral. This will also ultimately see Hollyoaks revisit one of its most memorable and harrowing storylines, as Luke's troubles stem from the rape ordeal he suffered in 2000.

Things aren't all bad as Luke is back with his old flame Mandy Richardson, but their relationship is under severe strain as a result of his drinking. Old-school Hollyoaks fans will naturally be delighted to see these two favourites back together again, but can their relationship survive the trouble to come?

9. Emmerdale: Megan's behaviour arouses suspicion (Monday at 7pm on ITV)

Is Emmerdale's Megan up to no good? We only ask because she's forgiven Frank's cheating way too quickly for our liking, and she also seemed awfully unconcerned by the dodgy figures in the business accounts last week. Plus, Gaynor Faye has promised an epic revenge storyline, so surely something is amiss here?

Clever Charity certainly reckons so when she spots another lovey-dovey show of affection between the couple at The Woolpack, noticing that Megan seems to subtly flinch at Frank's affections. When Charity corners her rival in the pub toilets and accuses her of plotting something, can Megan keep her composure and make sure her secret plans aren't thwarted?

10. Home and Away: Brody gets arrested... again! (Wednesday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

Justin and Mason manage to track down their wayward brother Brody and bring him home this week, but they're devastated when he finally drops the act and makes it clear that he has no intention of turning his back on drugs.

When keeping Brody prisoner in the Morgan house only has limited success, Justin resorts to turning against one of his own by calling the police to arrest him over the recent robbery at Scarlett's home. Brody is livid as he gets hauled off once again (he should probably have his own dedicated question room down at the station by this point...) but could this be the wake-up call he needs?
