EastEnders has revealed the aftermath of Ben Mitchell's exit in these brand new pictures.
Ben may now be starting a new life abroad, but the saga of the heist money is far from over as Mel Owen and Ciara Maguire continue to scheme.
When Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) heads back to Albert Square on Monday and does more digging over the missing cash, it seems that she wasn't the one responsible for duping Ben. So, who did swap the money with a stack of newspapers?
Mel is still under pressure from Ciara to find out what's been going on, so she tries to subtly get some answers from Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) at the cafe.
Next on Mel's agenda is paying a visit to Ben's old house, hoping to do some snooping as she spins a false story to Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and Donna Yates (Lisa Hammond).
Later in the week, Mel meets up with Ciara (Denise McCormack) to update her on the situation, but is she any closer to solving the mystery of who has the cash now?
Speaking about the money twist last night, Harry Reid – who played Ben – revealed: "At first Ben was like: 'Where the hell has it gone?!' After thinking he's been shafted, the fact he was in another country and out of his surroundings meant that he descended into panic. He's away, with no money and he can't go home.
"But the main thing about this is that it's not about running away with all this money – he just wants to get away and the money was a bonus. So once he realises he still has some money, he's fine and he sees hope."
EastEnders continues on Monday (January 15) at 8pm on BBC One.
