Gray gets suspicious as Chelsea plots against him
Chelsea understandably doesn’t want Gray’s name on Jordan’s birth certificate, as she fears that his status as the dad will mean that, even if he’s sent to prison, she won’t ever be rid of him.
Whitney then comes up with the idea of Chelsea signing the certificate without Gray knowing. But the new mum points out that the chances of her being able to sneak out of the house to get her passport to use as ID are slim.

In the end, Kheerat talks Gray into celebrating Jordan’s birth with a drink at the Vic, a ploy that will give Chelsea the time she needs. But on her way back from fetching her passport, she’s intercepted by Gray who is suspicious when she makes out that she’d merely nipped out to buy milk.
And when Chelsea does finally go to register Jordan’s birth, she gets an almighty shock…
Phil decides to sell up
Phil is feeling guilty about not revealing to Kat the extent of his prison sentence. To make matters worse, his attempts to see Raymond are stymied by Lexi and Isaac, who tell Phil that he ought to be exhibiting more concern about Ben.
Deciding to pay Ben a visit, Phil soon realises that something is wrong and tells his son that he’s going to sell the business as he fears he won’t be able to handle things in his absence.
For his part, Ben begs his dad to reconsider, even though he knows he’s in a fragile state. But will Phil change his mind? And what does DCI Keeble have to say about the kind of future Phil now faces?
Is Rainie cheating on Stuart?
Mick hands Rainie a bunch of flowers as a thank-you for the advice she gave him about Linda. But when Rainie arrives home, she ends up lying about where they came from, all of which fuels Stuart’s fears that she’s cheating on him.
Later in the week, Stu observes Rainie in conversation with Mick and leaps to the conclusion that the two of them must be having an affair. But what they’re really talking about are Rainie’s concerns for her husband’s health.
Janine and Mick fake being a couple
A social worker by the name of Claire is looking into Janine’s relationship with daughter Scarlett – a task that results in Jay taking great pleasure in revealing Janine’s true colours.
When she hears about what Jay has said, Janine tries to act blasé about her past misdemeanours. But privately, she asks Mick if they could fake being an item in order to impress the social worker.
Mick agrees, but on the understanding that no one must know. The trouble is that Jay works out that the Queen Vic landlord is aiding Janine and ends up berating him for having an affair in front of all the pub regulars.
Stuart – who’s already alert to rumours of infidelity – assumes that Jay must be talking about Rainie…
Billy strikes it rich – but there’s a catch…
Billy is doing a house clearance and offers Karen anything she wants in exchange for the use of her shopping trolley.
While rummaging through the items, Billy then eyes a doll that Janet may like and is surprised to find a stash of cash inside it. But later on, he realises that Karen has taken the toy.
Thursday’s episode then finds Billy trying to part young Mia from her new doll in a bid to extract the hidden money. But the doll ends up getting completely destroyed in the process!
