Emmerdale introduced yet another twist in the Emma Barton storyline last night, but the moment was so "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" that it might have escaped your attention.

After fans were treated to 90 minutes of Dales action on Thursday, the final scene of the evening showed Ross Barton destroying evidence in his mother's murder case.

While many viewers focused on this being a damning clue suggesting that Ross (Michael Parr) possibly killed Emma, others were far more interested in what was going on behind him.

That's because there was a very brief glimpse of someone watching Ross while he was up to no good, giving us yet another unanswered question to worry about.

As Ross got busy burning his mum's bag and other personal belongings, a mystery man sneaked up behind him and briefly kept watch.

Many are convinced that it was Ross's brother Pete, but we'll just have to stay tuned to see whether they're right.
